Ruth Ann Starkey

STARKEY, Ruth Ann
Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012. She was born June 10, 1941 in Waterloo, IA and after graduating from high school, became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was employed in many areas of nursing and loved working with older people. She had worked for Borgess Hospital, the Heritage Community and Upjohn Community Care Center. She also loved to bowl and was a world traveler. On April 10, 1964, she married Clayton P. Starkey, who survives. Ruth is also survived by her sisters, Sally Gilbert of Parkersburg, IA and Suzanne Marcus Sletten of Cedar Falls, IA; two aunts; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., with Rev. Keith Lohman officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday beginning at 12:00 PM until service time. Memorials may be given to Shalom, Inc.
