RAY, Ruth M. "Sally"
Of Marshall, MI Died October 30, 2010 at Heartland Health Care. Sally was born November 10, 1919 in Terre Haute, IN, a daughter of Frank and Bessie Hatley Rinehart. She lived most of her life in the Marshall area and was employed for several years at Checker Motors. She attended the First Free Will Baptist Church. Sally loved crocheting and would give away many of her creations to family and friends. She loved company and was always a gracious hostess to her visitors. But her life was all about being with her family and friends. Sally was preceded in death by her first husband Wayne Uptgraft and her second husband Charles Ray and by a son Wayne "Bud" Uptgraft and a daughter Sally "Peach" Waite. Surviving are a son Gary Diane Uptgraft of Portage; many grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren and by a sister Florence Willerick of Marshall, MI; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway with Pastor John Vick of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Comstock officiating. Friends may meet the family beginning at 10 am on Thursday at the funeral home. A funeral luncheon will be held at the church followed by a graveside service at 2:30 pm at Oakridge Cemetery in Marshall.
