PERRY, Ruth M.
Of Kalamazoo Died February 21, 2013 at the age of 85. She was born June 17, 1927 in Kalamazoo to the late Paul and Laura Clark Dunning. She was united in marriage to Gene Perry on December 5, 1947 who preceded her in death in March of 2001. Ruth was a longtime member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and was a member of the Prince of Peace quilting group. Ruth was an avid gardener, enjoyed nature and the beauty of her property. Ruth leaves behind her children, Chris Ellie Perry of Comstock and Lee Janice Perry of Hancock; 5 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Ruth is also preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Cochran. Family will greet friends on Tuesday, February 26th from 10-11:00 o'clock at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1747 W. Milham Rd., Portage, where a funeral service immediately follow at 11:00 o'clock. Pastor Paul Nuechterlein will officiate services. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Burial will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church.
