MINER, Mrs. Ruth E.
Kalamazoo, MI Passed away Saturday evening, April 13, 2013, at Friendship Village. Ruth was born October 21, 1923 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Jay and Loraine Layton Bachelder. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 2005 and was employed with the Clarage Fan Company prior to her retirement. Ruth was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard H. Miner, on September 24, 2004; and 3 sisters, Mary, Barbara and Jean. Ruth is survived by 2 children, Kay Gary Burnham of Mesa, AZ and John Anna Miner of Kalamazoo; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held in the KIVA room at Friendship Village at a later date. Private burial will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Three Oaks, MI at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church or the Friendship Village Friends Fund.
