Mejeur, Ruth Irene Morris
of Martin, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012. Age 76 years. Ruth Irene Meints was born in Kalamazoo on October 14, 1935, the daughter of the late Henry H. and Irene Shedore Meints. Ruth was a member of East Martin Christian Reformed Church. She worked as a secretary for numerous businesses and enjoyed knitting, bowling, fishing and crocheting. She was married to Eugene Grant Morris on October 28, 1960; he preceded her in death in 1998. She later was married to James Mejeur on May 13, 2000; he survives her. Surviving besides her husband are her children, Timothy Morris of Portage, MI, Michelle Dennis Miner of Portage, MI, Amy Timothy Nuelken of Gilbert, AZ and Andrew Amy Morris of Grand Blanc, MI. Jim's children, Bruce Joanne Mejeur of Martin, MI, Donald Robin Mejeur of Plainwell, MI, David Jean Mejeur of Hopkins, MI, and Susan Robert Perkins of Plainwell, MI; over 40 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Hugh Marie Meints, Austin Meints, Sarah Mieder and Kathleen Russell Harmelink. She was preceded in death by her step-son, Brian Mejeur; her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Renee Meints; sister-in-law, Anna Jo Meints; and brother-in-law, William Mieder. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2012 at East Martin Christian Reformed Church, 1782 5th St. at 118th Ave, Martin, MI, 49070. Rev. Gary Dekoekkoek will officiate. Private entombment will take place later in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
