Ruth M. Meisling

MEISLING, Ruth M. of Kalamazoo Passed away Saturday, November 25, 2006. Ruth was born July 24, 1919 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Franklin and Neva Haynes Sly and has been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1932. On June 10, 1937, she was married to Frederick E. Meisling who preceded her in death on November 22, 1984. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra; and by 2 brothers, Howard and Edward Sly. Surviving are her children, Sharon John Cripe of Oklahoma, Sylvia Jerry Smith of Kalamazoo, Ruthann Whitney of Galesburg and Christine Randall Freed of Kalamazoo; 27 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeannine Longjohn of Portage. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at the Zion Lutheran Church 2122 Bronson Blvd. with Pastor Louis Grother officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
