Ruth A. DeRight

DE RIGHT, Ruth A. Kalamazoo Passed away March 24, 2007 at Tendercare of Kalamazoo. Ruth was born December 9, 1916 in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Carl and Elsie Stevens Bonfoey and lived most of her life in the Kalamazoo area. She attended Kalamazoo College and later transferred to W.M.U. where she received a Teaching Degree in Art Education. Ruth was employed as a real estate agent with Ken Bertolissi Real Estate until her retirement. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kalamazoo. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Phillip DeRight and by a son Jon DeRight in 2004 and by a brother Steve Bonfoey. Surviving are 2 sons, P. Barry Jane DeRight of Paw Paw and David DeRight of Kalamazoo and a daughter-in-law Joyce DeRight of Kalamazoo; 2 grandchildren, Kelly Alex Clay of Ann Arbor and Christopher DeRight of Las Vegas, NV; several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. A memorial service for interment of cremated remains will be held at 1:00 o?clock Friday in the Chapel at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery with the Rev. James Dyke officiating.
