of Kalamazoo, Michigan Ruth Roelofje Brouwer passed away March 31, 2013. Her life began October 20, 1928 in Emmererfscheiden-Veen, Gemeente Emmen, to Johannes Kuiper and Martje Van Veen. After completing public school, Ruth attended domestic school Huishoud school in Emmen and worked in that field a short while. At a fair in 1945, Ruth met Hendrick Brouwer Henry J. Brouwer, and they married October 22, 1946. They had a son in 1947, Jan Brouwer, followed by a granddaughter, Sara Stafford and great grandchildren, Evelyn, Nolan and Mallory Whalen. No services will be held at this time. A celebration of life toast for family and friends will be at a later date.
