ROWLAND, Russell D.
of Kalamazoo Russ passed away Wednesday, September 14 at Rose Arbor Hospice. He was born in Kalamazoo on November 13, 1919 to Albert and Jessie Rowland. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Linda Sampley. He will be sadly missed by his 3 sons, Mark, Brian and David Susan Rowland and two step -children, Terry Lee Vose and Brenda Gary Howe; grandchildren, Jessie, Amy and Dani Rowland; step grandchildren, Josh Angel Williams, Morgan Morey, Nancy Grieser, Heidi Dan Davis, and Brixie Ron Keckter; and ten step great-grandchildren. Russ honorably and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a Lab Technician at Kalamazoo State Hospital for 28 years. He requested that cremation take place and that no visitation or services are to be scheduled. Memorials may be sent to Rose Arbor Hospice.
