Russell Alan Montgomery

Russell Alan Montgomery, 78, of Comstock, Michigan, passed away at his home surrounded by family on February 26, 2024. Russell was preceded in death by his son, Richard Montgomery. He is survived by his wife, Iva Montgomery; daughters, Susan (Dennis) Ouding and Carol (Rex) Day; grandchildren, Stephanie, Amanda, Kimberly, Brittany, and Brandon; as well as many great-grandchildren.

Russ loved to travel and go camping with his family and grandchildren. Russ was fond of painting and was encouraged to take it up again in his latter years. If you were to stop by his home, you would likely see him maintaining his yard. Russ was a hardworking husband, father, grandpa, and friend who will be greatly missed.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, 3926 S 9^th St, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49009. Visitation will take place at 11:00 am with a funeral service to follow at noon. Interment will take place following services at Comstock Cemetery, 5900 Oran Ave, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49048. For those wishing to do so, memorial contributions may be made in Russ’ honor to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
