KINSEY, Russell M.
Of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Thursday morning, November 18, 2010. Russell was born June 24, 1925 in Richland, MI the son Frank and Esther Kinsey and had been a lifelong resident in the Kalamazoo area. On January 19, 1945, he was united in marriage to Beatrice, who preceded him in death on April 29, 2009. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who was always there for his family. Russell was a salesman for the auto body industry but his real passion was working in his yard, maintaining it to perfection; and spending time in his workshop building doll houses, bird houses and furniture for his family. Russell enjoyed traveling with his daughters and cherished the time they spent together. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Bob, Donny, Till, Vivian, and Peggy. Surviving are his daughters, Carol and Stanley Hardy, Kathleen and Mark Rafferty; grandchildren, Jennifer and Brian Tindle, Angela and Bill Krueger, Matthew and Erin Rafferty; great-grandchildren, Jack Tindle, William and Samuel Krueger; a sister, Chloe Martin; and several nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Russell's life will be held at 11:30 Monday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street with Pastor Jim Dyke officiating. Friends may meet the family Monday from 10:30 until the time of service. Private interment will be at a later date in Hope Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.
