BUSS, Russ
Of Kalamazoo Went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 5, 2010. Russ was born October 20, 1948 in Lincoln, IL, a son of Ernie and Minnie Lolling Buss. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1967, after which he was honorably discharged as a Sergeant from the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam Era from 1969-71. Russ has lived in Kalamazoo for the past 33 years and was employed for 6 years at the Be-Mo Potato Chip Company, for 15 years at Georgia Pacific and later for the Kalamazoo Electric Company. Russ was a Christian man and loved his God. He was a member of Destiny Family Church. Russ volunteered for 25 years at the Milwood Little League and was a Detroit Tiger fan. Russ was a loving father, grandfather and a faithful brother. Surviving are 2 sons, Ronald Jennifer Kahl and Jason Buss, all of Kalamazoo; a granddaughter Allainah Kahl; 2 brothers, Delmar Dixie Buss of Lawndale, IL and LeRoy Dawn Buss of St. John, IN; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernie and Minnie Buss. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. with the Rev. Jeff Meeker officiating. A luncheon will be held at the church followed by graveside services with military honors at Ft. Custer National Cemetery at 2:30 pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7 pm. Memorial contributions in Russ's memory may be made to the Milwood Little League. Please visit
