of Kalamazoo Rudolfs Jankavs passed this life early Monday morning, March 2, 2009. In his passing and in his earlier struggles, he was well cared for by family and his Borgess Hopice caregivers. Rudolfs was born April 21, 1905 in Leepkalne, Latvia, emigrated to the United States in 1949 and has been a resident of Kalamazoo since that time. He was a member of the Kalamazoo Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Kalamazoo Chapter of the Daugavas Vanagi. Services wi1l be held Thursday, 1:00pm at the Langland Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamzaoo Michigan with Reverend Biruta Puike officiating. The family will be at the funeral home one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to one of the these organizations: Kalamazoo Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church, 122 Cherry Hill, Kalamazoo, MI 49006, Borgess Hospice, 348 N.
