BELL-LAMBERT, Ruby Lee
Parchment Ruby died peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Saturday, April 16, 2011. She was born June 23, 1934, in Cobbtown, GA, a daughter of Silas and Eloise Rewis Cobb. Ruby moved to Kalamazoo when she was 17 years old and has been a life long area resident since. Ruby owned and operated several local restaurants, including Bell's Pizza, Ambling House, Ruby's House and Marilyn's Place. She was an avid race car fan and worked at Galesburg Speedway and enjoyed attending Kalamazoo Speedway on Saturday nights. She also loved to fish and being outdoors with her flowers. Ruby was preceded in death by: her first born, Thomas Gary Lambert; her father; two sisters, Retha Mae Cobb and Annette Thompson and a brother, Louis Cobb. Surviving are: her mother; four children, Tracey A. Albert Perry, Clifford L. Lambert, Charlene A. Lambert and Marilyn Bill Robinson all from the Kalamazoo area; seven grandchildren; one great- granddaughter; two sisters, Mary Bill Davis of Montgomery, AL and Marie O'Dell of Orlando, FL; two brothers, Ellis Darlene Cobb of Sorrento, FL and Randall Cobb of Eustis, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 1:00 Wednesday afternoon at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, with Pastor William Crooks, officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the funeral home.
