TAYLOR, Roy W., Sr.
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away July 19, 2010 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born October 30, 1929 in Kalamazoo, to the late Roy and Evelyn Williams Taylor. Roy was united in marriage on May 9, 1953 to Florence Nash, who survives. Also surviving Roy are his children, Sharon K. Cummins of Laguna Vista, TX, Elton "Butch" Marcia Harness Taylor of Lawton, Roy Michele Taylor, Jr. of Kalamazoo, Judi Taylor of Kalamazoo and Betty Brian Johnson of Long Valley, NJ; 11 grandchildren, Shannon, Katherine, Ashley, Kayla, Kenzee, Emilee, Tony, Jodi, Lauren, Monica and Stephanie; 4 great grandchildren, Anthony, Matthew, Grace Emmarie and Latravion "Trey"; brothers, Larry Janice Taylor; sisters, Vera Hawes, Evelyn Williams, Jean Charles Ulmer and Jane Sagers; and many nieces and nephews. Also preceding Roy in death were; brothers, Bill Buckey, James Taylor and Alton Taylor; and sister, Vivian Wentworth. Family will greet friends on Thursday from 6-8:00 o'clock at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Funeral services will take place on Friday, 11:00 at Centerpoint Church, in the chapel, 2345 N. 10th St. Committal will follow at MT Ever-Rest Cemetery.
