Roy N. Swim

SWIM, Roy Comstock Mr. Swim passed away early Thursday morning, June 21, 2007 at Borgess Medical Center. He was born October 21, 1924 in Christianity, Tennessee, the son of the late Elmer and Sarah Jodella Saums Swim. Roy was employed by Allied Paper Co. for over 20 years until his retirement. On August 26, 1951, he was united in marriage to Beverly Smeltzer, who preceded him in death on December 30, 1987. Also preceding him in death are his parents; his step-mother, Mary Hawes Swim; two brothers, William and Robert Swim; and a sister, Joyce Geer. Surviving are his daughter, June Bruce Bigley of Kalamazoo; two granddaughters, Amy Jason James of Comstock and Christine Bigley of Gobles; and four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Callie, Megan, and Noah. Memorial services for Mr. Swim will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Comstock.
