of Kalamazoo Rose died Friday afternoon, June 10, 2011. She was born September 23, 1933, in Taylorville, IL, the only child of George H. and Vera I. Denton Childs. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS and retired from Shakespeare. Surviving are her children, Harley Gilbert Bottoms, Jr. of Reidsville, GA, and Capitola Tom Rice of Kalamazoo, and eleven grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 Thursday afternoon at the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS at 1112 N. Drake Rd. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street.
