Kalamazoo Passed away on October 22, 2007 at Tendercare of Portage, Michigan. Rose was born on March 8, 1918 to Frank and Helen Farkas of South Bend, IN. On February 8, 1941 she married James Russel Fisk of Niles, MI. James preceded her in death, June 1, 1994. She has a son James R. Fisk Ann of Battle Creek, MI; grandchildren Rusty and Jennifer and several step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her eldest brother Frank Farkas and her brother Paul Fodroczi. Rose is survived by her sister Helen Lambick of South Bend, brothers Julius Farkas of South bend, Joseph Farkas Fidel of Buck Lake, MI, and Stephen Fodroczi Barbara of Granger, IN; sister-in-law, Gertrude Fodroczi. Rose has many nieces, nephews and cousins in South Bend and Kalamazoo. In the early years, Rose and Jim lived at Barren Lake, Niles, MI where Rose operated a beauty shop. In the mid 60?s they moved to Portage, MI where Jim was a parts manager at an auto dealer and Rose was head housekeeper for a large motel chain. Arrangements are by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave., Portage, MI. There will not be a visitation, cremation has taken place and Rose will be interred with her husband at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. The 1st memorial mass will take place on Friday, October 26th, 11:00AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1150 W. Centre Ave., Portage, MI. A second memorial mass will take place on Tuesday, October 30th, 10:00AM at the Sacred Heart Parish Center on Douglas Road, Notre Dame, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor?s choice. www.langelands.com
