Rosalie A. Stacey, age 68 of Portage, passed away on May 29, 2023 with family by her side. She was born on December 4, 1954, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Maurice and Marguerite (Sherwood) Huss.
Rose started her working career right after school at Bronson Hospital. She worked there for over 30 years as a medical technician until she retired. She kept to herself most of the time but enjoyed sleeping, reading, going to the beach. She found joy spending most of her time with her family.
Rose was know for her warm, caring, and gentle nature. This was never more evident than in the way she routinely poured her time and energy into her 7 grandchildren. She would visit with them multiple days a week and loved creating memories with them.
Her legacy will live on in the way she cared for the ones she loved.
Her surviving family includes her two children: Rebecca (Bryan) Lewis and Joshua Stacey; her grandchildren: Uriah Lewis, Kalina Lewis, Madalie Lewis, Ayden Stacey, Sophia Stacey, Tristan Stacey, and Kayson Stacey; Her brothers: Edward Huss (Linda Ackerman), Maurice Huss, and Mark (Barb) Huss; and two nieces: Stephanie Huss and Katie Huss.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Christian service celebrating her life will take place on Wednesday June 14th, 2023, at Valley Family Church, 2500 Vincent Ave. Portage, MI 49024 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Portage Central Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in memory of Rosalie can be made to her children to pass on to her grandchildren.
