HARTLEROAD, Rosalie
Kalamazoo Passed into the arms of her Savior on December 17, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. Rosalie was born May 21, 1923 to Christopher and Mabel Wiessner and lived most of her life in Kalamazoo, having graduated from State High School. Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother, Errol ?Bud? Wiessner, and her husband of 51 years Jack Hartleroad. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was also a dear friend to many. Those who knew her will remember her extraordinary sense of humor and love of life. After retiring from Gilmore Bros. Department Store, Rosalie attended Bible Study Fellowship for 8 years and volunteered at the Deacon?s Bench and Paw Paw Pregnancy Care Center. She attended both Calvary Bible Church and Second Reformed Church in the past. She will be greatly missed by her loving family who include: Duane Lorrane Hartleroad and his 5 children, Marianne Jon Brand and her 3 children and Michael JackieHartleroad and his 2 children; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Elaine Bickers. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. on Tuesday from 4-8 PM and funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Fritz Kruithof officiating.
