Passed away Sunday morning, September 3, 2017. Ron was born March 23, 1936 in Kalamazoo, MI the son of the late Ray and Vera (Doxey) Dingman and had been a lifelong resident in the Kalamazoo area. Prior to his retirement he was employed for 35 years with Allied Paper. He was an avid trumpet player and played with the Jolly Coachman Band. Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, woodworking, and RC airplanes. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. On July 6, 1955 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, Nancy (Robles) who survives. Also surviving are his sons, Kevin (Alice) Dingman, Jim (Gwen) Dingman, Mike (Becky) Dingman; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Kenneth, Charles, Eleanor, and June. Services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, September 12 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest North Cemetery. Friends may meet the family Monday September 11 from 6-8pm at the Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
