Kalamazoo Passed away at Kairos Dwelling surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 5, 2011. He was born September 8, 1939 in Kalamazoo, the son of Hosea J. and Florence L. Davis Dillon, was a lifelong resident of the Scotts area and graduated from Climax High School in 1957. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force. While working for KVP Sutherland, he met his first wife, Frances, adopted her children, Gary and Darlene, and then added three more children, Ron, Robert and Randy. After Sutherland, Ron worked for the Clausing Corp. for 35 years. He was a farmer at heart and enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his family. He also loved westerns and country music. In 2001, he married Judith Belmont, who survives, along with her family. Ron is also survived by his children, Gary & Luann Dillon of Mattawan, Darlene & Rob Haase of Galesburg, Ron & Julie Dillon of Ft. Wayne, IN, Robert Dillon, Randy & Kim Dillon all of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Lori, Mandy, Gary, Ben, Kyle and Brandon Dillon, Ryan, Todd and Tyler Haase, Krissy & Russell Smith; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Janet Jim Seybert, Donna Seybert; many nieces, nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Frances; a grandson, Zachary Dillon; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 PM, and again at 10:00 AM Tuesday prior to the service. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM, at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek St., with Pastor Jim Dyke officiating.
