MURRAY, Mr. Roger E. Kalamazoo, MI Died suddenly Wednesday morning December 13, 2006. Roger was born September 26, 1945 in Athens, Georgia a son of Merritt and Lillian Frink Murray. During the Vietnam War, he served with the U.S. Navy as a Seabee. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Tower Automotive for 27 years before retiring. He was a member of the Comstock V.F.W.; Blind Institute of Chicago; and the D.A.V. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting, and his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter, Fiona Lynne Esman. On February 22, 1967, he was united in marriage to Judith ?Judy? A. Kelly Murray who survives. Also surviving, Tracy John Esman of Kalamazoo; 2 grandsons, Joseph and Connor Esman; extended family, William Ronda Henderson of Richland, Stacey Hitt of Kalamazoo, and Kim Stanton of Wayland, MI, and Kelli Baumgartner of Carmel. IN; 2 sisters, Susan John Foster of Lewiston, MT and Nancy Daffinson of Chattanooga, TN; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 1 o?clock Saturday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. Visitation will be 6-8pm Friday. Interment will be in Comstock Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Memorials may be directed to the Michigan Center for the Blind or the Disabled American Veteran?s.
