On November 22, 2024 Roger (Rod) Edwin Linders was welcomed into eternal fellowship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Roger was born August 27, 1925 to Leonard and Effie (Stryker) Linders, he was 99 years old when he passed. Rod served his country in World War II. He worked for Consumers Energy for 38 years. His true joy and passion was serving his Lord and Savior in many volunteer capacities for different organizations: Kalamazoo Gospel Mission, 2nd Impressions Thrift Store, Park Village Pines, Comstock Community Center. He delivered cookies to a Veterans Home. He helped start the Calvinist Cadets (boys club) for Kalamazoo’s Christian Reformed churches. Rod was faithful in service to the Kalamazoo Christian Schools and the Comstock Christian Reformed Church.
Rod was a life long resident of Kalamazoo, Michigan and when he returned home from World War II, he was united in marriage to Henrietta Cramer on April 30, 1947. They celebrated 70 years of marriage before Henrietta passed on December 28, 2017. Roger is survived by Ann and Tom Triemstra, Kathy and Larry Hoeksema, Nancy and Dan Earles, 22 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. He loved to keep up with all the lives and activities of his family. Rod is also survived by his brother, Ken (Jo) Linders, sister-in-law, Darlene Cramer, and brothers-in-law John (Betty) Cramer, Dean (Kathy) Cramer and Allen (Sally) Cramer.
Park Village Pines had been home for the past 10 years and we praise God for that organization. Also, a special thanks to Centrica for the end-of-life care. We praise God for the legacy left by Roger of faithful service to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To God be the glory.
