Robin Denise Roe, 76 of Scotts, passed away surrounded by her loved ones at Bronson Methodist Hospital on May 15, 2024. She was born on March 21, 1948, to Kenneth and Barbara (Norris) Whitney in Battle Creek.
Robin graduated from Springfield high School in 1966. She went on to work in the food service industry, she loved working in restaurants and even ran a food truck. She loved interior design and worked as a salesperson helping people update their homes.
Robin’s love of interior design made her an avid thrift-shopper and antique collector. She had a large collection of antique glassware and other treasures that she spread throughout her home as well as her family’s homes. She was very crafty and enjoyed sewing and upholstery projects, she had a quilt collection and loved to reupholster furniture, adding her own unique style to each piece.
Robin raised a beautiful garden each year. Her flowers attracted many pollinators, especially hummingbirds, and she would put out hummingbird feeders each year as soon as the snow was gone.
Above all, Robin adored her family and cherished each memory she made with them, as they were her pride and joy. She shared a special relationship with each of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted wife to Danny and always put him and the family first. She showed her love in many ways from finding a special antique that reminded her of a particular relative and gifting it to them, to mending their favorite clothing, and cooking their favorite meals for no other reason than because she loved them. Holidays were special to Robin as she could gather her family together and cook a grand meal for them. She enjoyed road trips and visiting the ocean with the family, the road trips were almost as great as the beach because of the quality time they got to share. The time she spent with her family meant everything to her and she made it of the utmost importance to nurture a one-of-a-kind bond with each of them.
Robin is survived by her husband Danny Roe; her children Michelle (Greg Cone) Gothard and Tim (Tammie Biddy) Gothard; her grandchildren Aliyson (Ken) Johnson, Christian Gothard, Danyelle (Derrek Kurr) Gothard, Zachary (Alyssa Crandall) Gothard, Kenny Campbell, and Dawn Campbell; great-grandchildren Cullen, Canaan, and Caston Johnson and Aubrey and Amaya Turner; brother Dennis (Maureen) Whitney; several special nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog Rascal. She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Barbara Whitney, and her sister Judith “Judy” Kolish.
