Roberta Sue Ritsema

Ritsema, Roberta Sue
of Portage, Michigan Passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013 at the age of 65. She was born in Benton Harbor on August 27, 1947, the daughter of the late Dale and Wilma Stombaugh Enders. Roberta was a homemaker, who loved to spend time with her family and had a great amount of care and compassion for her daughters. She also enjoyed attending family reunions. Prior to Roberta's illness she had lost a tremendous amount of weight and was proud to be a member of T.O.P.S. Take Off Pounds Sensibly. She was a nature lover and especially enjoyed watching hummingbirds as they came to her hummingbird feeder. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Allen Ritsema; her daughters, Carrie Lonnie Yancer of Kalamazoo, Diana David Mathews Ritsema of Kalamazoo; two brothers and one sister, Melvin Enders of Eau Claire, Donna Fred Whitman of Berrien Center and Paul Enders of Plainwell; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Pat Enders. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Avenue., where the funeral service will be follow at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Mark Kraai will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rose Arbor Hospice Residence or West Michigan Cancer Center.
