STONEROCK, Robert G., Jr. Kalamazoo Went to be with his Lord on August 2, 2007. He was born March 31, 1928 in Kalamazoo, the son of Robert Glen, Sr. and Mabel Boyer Stonerock and had been a lifelong resident of Kalamazoo. He was a 1946 graduate of Kalamazoo High School, where he played drums in the marching band, and loved music. He was a member of the Kalamazoo Covenant Church. Bob worked at Plate Craft for 26 years and retired from the Upjohn Company in 1992. He was a member of the gospel quartet, ?The Messengers? and a past member of the Kalamazoo Male Chorus for over 17 years. Bob attended Western Michigan University and was in the United States Army, serving in Japan. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Virginia Willin; and an infant brother, Jackie Stonerock. Bob and Joann loved to travel and after his retirement, spent 13 winters in Mesa, AZ. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joann Smallegan; his sons and their wives, Jeffrey Lori Stonerock and Gregory Judy Stonerock; three grandsons, Joshua, John and Joey; his brother, James Ann Stonerock; his sisters, Ruth Harold Larson and Janice Newnum; nieces and nephews; and their very close friends, Jack deceased and Norma Cassada. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday in the Kalamazoo Covenant Church, 5708 E. Main St. with Pastor John Kepler officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. on Sunday from 1-3 and 6-8 PM. Memorial contrib
