SELDERS, Mr. Robert S.
Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Sunday evening April 6, 2008. Robert was born November 23, 1926 in Kennedy, Texas a son of Rollin and Jeanette Holden Selders. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Army Air Corp. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of his life and was employed with Georgia Pacific for 15 years before retiring. He was also a member of the Kalamazoo Masons. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Selders on June 19, 2002; and 2 brothers, George and John Harlen. On December 26, 1947, he was united in marriage to Gladys Gabbard Selders who survives. Before Robert died he wrote, "I had the greatest wife anyone ever had and she will never know how much I loved her". Also surviving, a daughter-in-law, Susan Selders of Redford, MI; a grandson, Tony; a brother, Frank Selders of Kalamazoo; a special family member, Kjild Vi Peterson of Denmark; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o'clock Thursday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday. Interment will be in Mt.
