RUDER, Robert P.
Formerly of Lawrence Robert P. Ruder of Kalamazoo, formerly of Lawrence, passed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 15, 2012. Bob was met in heaven by his mother Virginia and loving wife Becky who both preceded him in death. Bob was born on November 21, 1959, to a family who loved him and supported him throughout his short but full life. He endured and overcame many medical set backs which made his life to everyone he met, such a strong testimony of his faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Bob worked in his family's vending business for many years after graduating from high school. He enjoyed all sports; especially the Detroit Pistons and he also enjoyed attending classes at KVCC in General Drawing for 2 years. Bob loved his two German Shepherd dogs, Max and Lady as well as his two cats Buddy and Sheila. Bob is survived by his dad Ralph Sr. of Lawrence; brothers: Ralph Jr. of Hartford; John of St Joseph; Bill of Holland; sisters: Darlene of The Villages, Florida; and Edith of Salem, Oregon; two nieces, two nephews, an uncle and several cousins. Bob has left all of us with a tremendous number of great memories and will be missed immensely, but we thank the Lord for sharing Bob with us and now taking him into his loving care. Visitation will take place Sunday, August 19, from 5-8pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 South Burdick, Kalamazoo. Funeral services will be at Oakwood Bible Church, 4100 Oakland Dr., Monday, August 20 at 10:30am in Kalamazoo.
