Robert Richard Rambert

Robert Richard Rambert, age 96 of Kalamazoo, died at home on October 25, 2020. He was born July 12, 1924, in Chicago, the son of Charles and Lucille (Domach) Rambert. Robert graduated from High School in Chicago prior to entering the U.S. Army. Robert completed trade school to become a machinist and proudly worked for the City of Chicago. He was a 70-year member of the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers. Robert was a member of the Masons, the VFW, and the American Legion. He was a longtime member of the YMCA and a member of the Sunshine Club at the Salvation Army. Robert attended Westwood United Methodist Church. For over 50 years, Robert was married to Beverly June Peet Rambert, who preceded him in death. His family includes his daughter Kathryn Ann Lee; his two grandsons: Craig Charles (Samantha) Lee and Derek Benjamin Lee; his two great-grandchildren: Wilhemina Rose Lee and Weston Robert Lee; granddaughter-in-law, Jessica Lee; and his caregivers and special friends: Mary Trickey and Sherry Tomlinson.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife Beverly, his son Charles Arden Rambert and his grandson Jeffrey Lee. A memorial graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, 3941 S. Westnedge Avenue, Kalamazoo, with Pastor Sean Kidd officiating. Please wear a mask.
