Passed away at his home on Thursday, July 19, 2012. He was born September 17, 1931, the son of Robert E. and Mildred Hodgman Pyne. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War and worked as a field engineer for the NCR Corporation for 38 years. He is survived by his wife, Alice Leathers Pyne; his children, Michael Heidi Pyne, Steven Jody Pyne and Kathie Gentry; 6 grandchildren; a sister, Loretta Doerschler; a brother, Donald Pyne; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday tomorrow in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. with Pastor Dale Krueger officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday today from 6-8 PM.
