POHL, Robert E.
Of Vicksburg Bob passed away Sunday afternoon, January 18, 2009 at Fountain View Retirement Village. He was born November 17, 1919 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of the late Otto and Lillian Miller Pohl. Bob was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. He was a member of American Legion and Veteran of Foreign War. He also earned his 32nd Degree in the Free and Accepted Masons. Bob was employed by Rockwell International for 20 years, until his retirement. On July 24, 1939, he was united in marriage to Virginia Pawlowski in Auburn, Indiana. Surviving are their two children, Barb Dave Smith of Scotts, and Robert "Dennis" Pohl of Mendon; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his wife, Virginia Pohl; his parents; and 1 brother, Norman Pohl. Funeral services for Robert will be at 1:00 PM on Friday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Avenue, with Rev. James Dyke officiating. Interment will follow in Ft.
