MINDEMAN, ROBERT E.

Passed away Tuesday June 23, 2020 at the Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Bob was born January 23, 1937 in Kalamazoo the son of the late Charles and Doris (Callighan) Mindeman and was a lifelong resident in the Kalamazoo area. He was a graduate of State High School in 1954. He attended Austin Peay University and Western Michigan University. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1960-1962 and was assigned to the Veterinary/Preventative Medicine section of the Medical Corps. Bob worked in the Activity Therapy Department at the Kalamazoo Psychiatric Hospital for 41 years until his retirement in 1996. He was an original member of the Bronson Athletic Club and was a member of the Paw Paw Conservation Club. He enjoyed sports, his pets, and caring for the pets of others. Bob is survived by his brother, Jack (Sue) Mindeman of Lakeland, FL. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Burial will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
