Robert L. Brown

BROWN, Mr. Robert L. Bob Kalamazoo, MI Passed away January 18, 2007, in Kalamazoo, MI, at the age of 96. He was born April 2, 1910, to Lawrence and Nellie Binder Brown and grew up on a farm near Connersville. After graduating from Alquina High School in 1928, he continued livestock farming. Bob married Margaret Nickless of Bay City, MI, in 1941 and in 1951, they moved to Midland, MI, where he was employed by The Dow Chemical Company, later transferring to Columbus, OH. After retiring in 1975, they remained in Columbus until 1994 when the moved to Kalamazoo, MI. Bob was preceded in death by: his wife of 55 years, Mararet; 2 brothers, Raymond and J. Preston Brown and an infant sister, Esther Brown. Surviving are: 2 daughters, Carolyn George Donoghue of Kalamazoo, MI and Barbara Richard Bardwell of Anaconda, MT; 4 grandchildren and their spouses; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister in law, Maxine Brown; and several nieces and nephews. Private interment was held in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Bay City, MI.
