COOK, Mr. Robert H. Spanish Lakes Country Club, Ft. Pierce, FL Formerly of Kalamazoo, MI Died Sunday March 4 2007 at Atlantic Health Care of Vero Beach, Florida. Bob was born July 20, 1930 in Battle Creek, MI and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1993 from Kalamazoo, MI. He was an alumni member of the graduating class of 1948 at Lakeview High School in Battle Creek. During those years he was active in all sports, band, and drama. Bob attended Lake Superior State University after High School where he played on the Football team for 2 years. He worked for ABCO Industries until his retirement. Bob served as president and board member for many years for the Ocean Harbour South Condo association and also on the North Beach Association on Hutchinson Island in Ft. Pierce. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Rix Cook. Survivors include daughter, Lori Voelkel of Bradenton, FL; son, Robert Cook Jr. of Orlando, FL; daughter, Linda Pierce of Apopka, FL; step-son, Terry Jane Rix of Kalamazoo, MI; sister, Carol Brenner of Marshall, MI; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 10 step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 1 o?clock Friday from the Langeland Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 6-8pm Thursday. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
