EAGER, Sr, Robert D.
Kalamazoo Passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. He was born May 14, 1925 to Deo Sr. and Cornelia VanBallegooyen Eager. Bob worked with his father and brother as co-owners of Hollander Heating, for over 40 years. He proudly served his nation in the U. S. Army from September of 1943 until honorably discharged in October of 1945. Among the awards he received, was The Distinguished Flying Cross. Bob was a devout family man who especially enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He was an outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. Bob was happily married to Frances Eager for 36 years until her passing in 1984. Surviving Bob are his; children, Thomas Connie Eager of Kalamazoo, Bob Jr. Judy Eager of Mattawan, Marsha Al Kirsch of Mattawan; grandchildren, Tim Chris Eager, Shannon Eager, Brian Kelli Kirsch, Sara Jef Fennema, Katelyn Kirsch and Matthew Kirsch; brother, Nelson Lettie Eager. Preceding him in death were; his wife; his parents; and brother Deo Eager, Jr. Visitation will take place at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo on Thursday, November 15th, from 6-8:00PM and on Friday, the 16th from noon ? 2:00PM. A private family graveside service will be held at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery, Rev. James Dyke, officiating.
