of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 in Florida. Robert was born August 30, 1930 in Cotton Valley, LA, a son on Luther V. and Anna Mae Simons Dunn and was a resident of the Kalamazoo area for many years. He worked for Cadillac Overall Supply for 22 years and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Robert enjoyed car club events with his 1951 Chevy, and being the shuffle board champion for Battle Creek and at the Tropic Isle shuffle board in Palmetto, FL. On October 21, 1950, he married Barbara Swander, who preceded him in death in 2010. He was also preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Linda Dunn in 1953. Robert is survived by his children, Ken Karen Dunn, Diane Ron German, Paul Marcy Dunn, Gordon Valerie Dunn and David Dunn; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Flickinger, Jerry Ann Don Meisling and Jeannie Pat Warren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on at 2:00 PM Friday, November 16, 2012 in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St, with Pastor Marvin Followell officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery, South. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Friday beginning at 1:00 PM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to HPH Hospice, 12242 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville, FL 34613.
