Formerly of Kalamazoo Bob passed away Thursday afternoon, August 23, 2012 at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born July 2, 1935 in Pullman, MI, the youngest of 16 children to Ralph and Dora Nelson Dailey. Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Korean Conflict on the U.S.S. Missouri. On December 12, 1959, he was united in marriage to his sweetheart, the former Rose Mary Emmons. Bob was employed by Orrin B. Hayes as a manager until his retirement in July 1997. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Rose Mary Dailey; their four children, Emily Dailey of Harrisburg, PA, Lori Daniel LaCoss of Kalamazoo, Bob Tricia Dailey of Schoolcraft, and Tina Steve DeVries of Hudsonville; nine grandchildren; five sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with Bob's family from 2-5 PM on Sunday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Greg Van Heukelom officiating. Private interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Renucci Hospitality House Spectrum Health Foundation or Salvation Army.
