McCROSKY, Robert F. "Bob"
Of Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Monday, April 28, 2008 at his home in Kalamazoo. Bob was born March 2, 1949 in Leavenworth, Kansas to the late Jewel Alva and Mildred Kiger McCrosky. On December 11, 1971 Bob married his lovely wife Sheila Kathleen Farley, who survives him. Bob's hobbies and interests were as wide-ranged as they were numerous. A talented writer, he created McCrosky Marketing Communications in 1991. Bob and Sheila ran the business together; it continues to thrive. Starting with the piano at the age of five, Bob was an active musician throughout his life; he played in a number of Rock and R&B bands almost continuously since 1964. He was an avid street rod racer, college-baseball first baseman, cook, and stargazer. Yet, above all, Bob was a truly great family man. He was a tireless enthusiast and supporter of his daughter's theatrical pursuits. To his son, he was the world's greatest golf and fishing partner. The best of friends, Bob and Sheila's fondness for one another never waned; in 2001 they renewed their wedding vows on their 30th anniversary. Also surviving Bob are his children: Michelle Kathleen Brian Gaza of Denver, CO, and Andrew Robert Melissa McCrosky of Ferndale, MI; his brothers, Dan Ingrid McCrosky, and John Janice McCrosky; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 3, at People's Church, 1758 N. 10th Kalamazoo, 269 275-3262. Rather than flowers, Bob would have been very pleased by a contribution made to Housing Resources Inc, 345 N. Burdick, Kalamazoo, 269 382-0287.
