COLVIN, Robert E. "Bob"
Of Plainwell, Michigan Passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at his residence with his family at his side. Bob was born April 10, 1943 in Kalamazoo, a son of Robert F. and Ruth Allen Colvin. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 37 years at Knappen Milling Company in Augusta. Bob attended at the Country Christian Evangelical Free Church in Scotts. Family was an important part of his life. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and son. On October 28, 1967, he was married to the former Patricia Youngs, who survives. Also surviving are a son Brian Abbey Colvin of Scotts; 2 grandchildren, Michael and Raelene Colvin; his mother Ruth Colvin of Kalamazoo; 4 brothers and 3 sisters, Gordon Jan Colvin of Rockford, James Madeline Colvin of Portage, Mark Deana Colvin of Portage, Dana Colvin of Kalamazoo, Sharon Bill Fike of Parchment, Phyllis Erhnstrom of Portage, Deb Steve Langeland of Kalamazoo; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1:00 o'clock Monday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with Pastor Pat Clarey officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Friends may meet the family on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
