Robert J. Briley

BRILEY, Robert J. Comstock Mr. Briley passed away Wednesday morning, December 13, 2006 at his home. He was born May 3, 1930 in Henderson County, TN, the son of the late Robert and Myrtle Russina Rough. Bob was employed by Interkal for 12 years until his retirement in 1982. He served as a guardsman for National Guard. Mr. Briley had attended Landmark Baptist Church. On December 13, 1948, Bob was united in marriage to Mary Lou Clark, and they would have been married 58 years. She preceded him in death on April18, 2004. Also preceding him in death are 2 daughters, Phyllis and Tammy Briley; 2 brothers, Talmadge and Richard Briley; and 2 sisters, Joy Dean and Vercie Briley. Surviving are 5 children, Larry Laurie Briley of Kalamazoo, Billie Nettie Briley of Paw Paw, Brenda Wayne Bowling of Kalamazoo, Patricia Ed Arnett of Kalamazoo, and Kenneth Briley of Kalamazoo; many grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Briley will be at 11:00 AM on Monday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Hwy. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest North Park. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
