Robert "Bob” Sherman, 85, of Kalamazoo, passed away on May 28, 2024, in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  

 

He was born on February 9, 1939, to Robert and Eunice (Millard) Sherman in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Bob was a man of dedication, committing his career to First of America for over 37 years. On June 26, 1957, he married Lyn Allen, and they celebrated 66 years of marriage. Bob and Lyn made their home in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He enjoyed the great outdoors, shooting, hunting, fishing, and, in later years, bird watching and wildlife. 

 

Bob is survived by his beloved spouse, Lyn; his children and grandchildren, David (Sarah) Sherman, Ellen (Richard) Clark, Meranda (Gary) Longnecker, Amy Clark, Nichole (Drew Richmond) Sherman, Kristie (Harold) Hammond, Rickie Clark, Jr., Tyler Clark, and Kaitlyn Longnecker. Bob is also survived by his brother, Jerry (Jennette) Sherman.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Franklyn Sherman, Sr.; mother, Eunice Louise Sherman; granddaughter, Michelle Sherman; sister, Janice Wortinger.

 

Visitation to honor Bob's memory will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM on June 1, 2024, at Langeland Family Funeral Home and Burial and Cremation Service, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan. This will be a time for friends, family, and acquaintances to gather and share their memories of Bob.
