AGEMA, Robert P.
Kalamazoo Robert Paul Agema passed away on Monday, November 11, 2013. He was born July 7, 1940 in Kalamazoo, the son of the late Tonne and Greta Nederhoed Agema and was a lifelong resident of the area. Robert was employed as a barber, a truck driver and retired from Consumers Energy. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Robin in 1978; and a brother, Bruce. Robert is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Marge and Duane Westrate; a sister-in-law, Marcia Agema; 5 nephews, Randy Cris Westrate, Bob Linda Westrate, Dave Kim Westrate, Larry Jan Westrate and Tim Cris Agema; a niece, Pam John Bierema; and a special friend, Doris. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 14, 2013 in the Hope Reformed Church, 910 Jenks Blvd., with Pastor Kent Frens officiating. Interment will take place in the Comstock Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. on Wednesday from 4-7 PM and on Thursday, at the church, from 10:00 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given the Kalamazoo Christian School Association or Rose Arbor Hospice.
