Richard D. Northrup

NORTHRUP, Mr. Richard D. Portage, MI Went to be with the Lord Wednesday afternoon March 28, 2007. Richard was born January 7, 1926 in Hartford, Michigan a son of Diehl and Bernadine Granger Northrup. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of his life and co-owned J and D Enterprises before retiring. He was also a member of the Kalamazoo First Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kayla Faykin; and 2 brothers, Ray and Harry Northrup. On January 25, 1946, he was united in marriage to Joyce A. Lantz Northrup who survives. Also surviving, a son, Jeffery Northrup of Comstock; 4 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 1 o?clock Saturday at Kalamazoo First Assembly of God Church, 5550 Oakland Drive. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Covenant Senior Day Care Program or Kalamazoo First Assembly of God Church.
