and Jupiter, FL Passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Age 82 years. He was born April 13, 1930, the son of the late Joseph and Frances Milczuk. He served with the United States Air Force during World War II. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 22 years. He received his Bachelors Degree from John Wesley College. Richard belonged to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, the V.F.W. and the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and metal detecting with his grandson. Richard enjoyed reading the newspaper, especially following stocks and politics. He loved to travel to Florida and spending time in South Haven and enjoyed Polish food. He was married to Loraine Eleanore Pawlak Mills on July 9th of 1960; she preceded him in death in 1980. Surviving are two daughters, Lisa Mills of Kalamazoo and Cassandra Mills of Dallas, TX; one grandson, Dominik Richard Slevatz of Kalamazoo; two nephews, Henry Milczuk and Gregory Milczuk; and one niece, Mary Ann Milczuk. Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Henry Milczuk. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Trinity Chapel, 1150 W. Centre Avenue. Fr. Robert Creagan will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of mass on Saturday. Private burial will take place later in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, MI where he will be layed to rest next to his beloved Loraine. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Lorraine Mills.
