Richard D. McNee

McNEE, Richard D. "Dick" of Scotts Dick passed away Wednesday evening, January 4, 2012 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born August 21, 1938 in Kalamazoo, the son of Victor and Sophia Hyska McNee. In 1996, he was married to the former Nancy Sobottka Martindale, who survives. Also surviving are three children, Scott Amy McNee of Geneva, IL, Lori Olsen of Battle Creek and Julie Erik Ruger of Battle Creek; step-son, Steven Martindale of Kalamazoo; seven grandchildren, Sierra, Brennan, Adrianna, Adam, Breh, Emmy, Aaron. Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Jack McNee. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 14, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake Street, with Msgr. Michael Hazard celebrant. Friends may visit with the family from 2-3 PM on Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to West Michigan Cancer Center or Loaves and Fishes. Arrangements were entrusted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes.
