HOFFMAN, Richard A.
Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away peacefully on April 4, 2008 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 6, 1939 to the late Maxwell and Hannah Gross Hoffman. He is survived by his wife Emily P. Weinstein Hoffman, who he married on December 27, 1964. Also surviving are three sisters-in-law, Janice Weinstein of Chelsea, MA, Cynthia Art Guerra of Haddonfeld, NJ, and Linda Lance Keller of Carrollton, TX; two nieces, Vera Hinsey and Nicolle Keller and one nephew Derek Hinsey and his father-in-law Sumner Weinstein of Carrollton, TX. Richard graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1964 with a B.S. in Physics and worked as a scientific computer programmer and later as an electronics technician. He was a member of the Congregation of Moses. Graveside services and burial will be held on Sunday, April 6 at Crawford Street Synagogue Cemetery in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Congregation of Moses. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. and the Stanetsky Funeral Home in Brookline, Massachusetts.
