of Augusta, MI Died Monday morning October 10, 2011. Richard was born July 3, 1952 in Battle Creek, Michigan a son of Larry and Elizabeth Calhoun Haycook. He served Honorably with the U.S. Forces years ago. Richard had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of his life and was employed with Pfizer for 22 years, retiring in 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents. On March 21, 1975, he was united in marriage to Debra S. Wilson Haycook who survives. Also surviving, 3 children, Richard Theresa Carpenter Haycook of Vicksburg, Jamie Justin Conroy of Galesburg, and Trevor Haycook of Kalamazoo; 4 grandchildren, Bailey, Austin, Karsyn, and Kaleigh; 3 sisters, Mary Don White of Battle Creek, Shelley Scott Kohl of Augusta, Lizzie Steve DeVille of Richland; 2 brothers, Robert Haycook of Marshall, and William Jill Haycook of Augusta; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A gathering to celebrate Richards life will be from 12-8pm Sunday at his son's residence, 9071 East T Avenue, Vicksburg. Private burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Humane Society. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.
