COOK, Mr. Richard D.
Kalamazoo, MI Died Tuesday morning September 2, 2008. Richard was born November 22, 1938 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Walter and Mary Homan Cook. Years ago, he served honorably with U.S. Army. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with the Upjohn Company for over 30 years, retiring in 2004. He was an avid car enthusiasts and member of the Kalamazoo Corvette Club. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, and bowling. He was preceded in death by his parents. On March 31, 1962, he was united in marriage to Marie J. Adams Cook who survives. Also surviving, 2 children, Rick Cook of Hastings and Deb Tom Bresnahan of Vicksburg; 4 grandchildren, Austin, Elise, Megan, and Lauren; a brother, Robert Marilyn Cook of Kalamazoo; a sister-in-law, Wilda Adams of Plainwell; an aunt; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 11 o'clock Friday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 6-8pm Thursday. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
