CLISE, Mr. Richard H.
Kalamazoo, MI Died Monday morning December 12, 2011. Richard was born March 18, 1927 in Royal Oak, Michigan a son of Charles Henry and Elizabeth Helen Foster Clise. During WWII, he served with the Merchant Marine and later the U.S. Army Air Force. He was employed with General Motors Warren Tech Center and the Milford Proving Grounds for 30 years before retiring in 1985. Richard loved his family and celebrated when they gathered. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Marjorie Bisch. On July 16, 1949, he was united in marriage to Mildred L. Knull Clise who survives. Also surviving, 6 children, Charles Diane Clise of Alma, MI, Robert Judy Clise of Howell, MI, Sally Holt of Michigan City, IN, Donald Clise of Eaton Rapids, MI, Daniel Brenda Clise of Hersey, MI, and Mark Brenda Clise of Kalamazoo; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Elizabeth "Duffy" Sold of Troy, MI and Suzanne Dr. Romuald Gomley of Naples, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 1 o'clock Saturday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. Visitation will be 11-1pm Saturday at the chapel. Private burial will take place in Kingscreek Cemetery in Ohio at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Michigan Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
